Material Control Specialist

The Material Control Specialist will report to the Director of Inventory and Material Management and will be an integral part of our Supply Chain Team working daily with our Manufacturing, Procurement, and Finance Teams.  In this position, the Material Control Specialist will support the Batesville manufacturing site and be responsible for material transactions as material flows through the plant. Due to the criticality of material transactions to plant operations, attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness is a must in this role. As part of the Batesville Plant, the Material Control Clerk will work closely with the various departments in the Batesville Plant to ensure daily completions of transactions.

The candidate will be required to work onsite at the Batesville Plant.

Primary responsibilities include the following: 

• Enter all material transactions corresponding to physical movement of material through the plant and production process including, material transfers, issuing material to work orders, work order completions, ship confirmations, work order cancellations, etc.
• Identify errors/discrepancies on paperwork for entry and work to resolve. This may include physically confirming on hand material in the Plant and working with departments to confirm transactions.
• Research discrepancies in JDE looking at historical transactions to determine root cause of errors and identifying correcting transaction(s) needed while working closely with Finance team to understand the financial impact of the transactions.
• Identify opportunities for process/accuracy improvement related to material transactions and data required for transactions.
• Participate in quarterly Physical Inventory. 
• Various other responsibilities related to material and inventory transactions.
• Cross train on other material roles to act as a backup for team members.
